KOTA KINABALU: An advanced immigration screening system is being mooted here to enable the authorities to quickly check the background of people coming into the country’s entry points, says Immigration Department director-general Datuk Alias Ahmad.
He said the Advanced Passenger Screening System (APSS), which he hoped would start next year, has been launched as a pilot project by the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) of Singapore.
