Umno polls: 14 Wanita chiefs win uncontested in Perak

IPOH: The Umno division elections in Perak saw 14 Wanita candidates win the top post in their respective divisions uncontested.

They were state Wanita Umno chief Datuk Rusnah Kassim (Tanjung Malim), Salmiah Sutan Taharuddin (Gerik), Rosmaizar Mat Ali (Lenggong), Norsalewati Mat Norwani (Parit Buntar), Zarina Abdol Majid (Bagan Serai), Maziah Abd Rahman (Bukit Gantang), Zalimun Ghazali (Taiping), Datuk Siti Salmah Mat Jusak (Padang Rengas), Puizah Abu Kassim (Tambun), Masarah Abdullah (Ipoh Timor), Salmah Sojak (Beruas), Nolee Ashilin Mohammed Radzi (Kampar), Rohana Yaacob (Tapah) and Azizah Johor (Lumut).

There was also no contest for the Youth chief's post in six out of 24 divisions in the state - Mohamad Iruan Zulkefli (Lenggong), Nazirul Jamaluddin (Bagan Serai), Shahril Azmir Ahmad Shaffie (Taiping), Mohamad Ziad Mohamed Zainal Abidin (Tambun), Syamsul Baharin Putra Ahmad Shibi (Ipoh Barat) and Mohd Sharizal Abdul Alibu (Beruas).

Meanwhile, Puteri Umno division chiefs who won uncontested were state Puteri chief Salbiah Mohamed (Gerik), national Puteri Umno exco member Isfarina Mohd Bali (Ipoh Barat), Jaraidah Ismail (Larut), Jamilah Zakaria (Bukit Gantang), Rosnita Kadir Maidin (Taiping), Sazmaniza Sulaiman (Padang Rengas), Iylia Ainuddin (Tambun), Mursyidah Jaeszan (Ipoh Timor), Nor Fazila Saaidun Razali (Batu Gajah), Emillia Abd Rahim (Kampar), Suzana Osman (Gopeng), Nurul Huda Nordin Ahmad (Tapah), Suhaili Suib (Pasir Salak), Rafidah Mat Shafiei (Lumut), Rohana Tarmizi (Bagan Datok) and Nor Azryna Mohd Jainuri (Telok Intan).
