PEOPLE’S financial capabilities must be one of the factors analysed before a decision is made on the need to table a law to oblige children to provide their ageing parents monetary allowance.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, who is also Women, Family and Community Development Minister, said having such a legislation or Bill would strain the relationship between children and parents.
