BATU PAHAT: Marhaban (Islamic caroling) group is still widely practiced in the district and remains an integral part of the kampung culture here.

During the Syawal month, the groups make house-to-house visits reciting prayers and praises for Prophet Muhammad or when house owners move to their new houses.
