PETALING JAYA: Foreign direct investment into Malaysia should be carried out gradually to protect local industries in their infancy, said former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
He said Malaysia would lose out if it opened itself completely to all foreign investments and businesses without protecting these industries.
