KOTA KINABALU: After waiting for 13 years, 977 workers of Sabah Forest Industries (SFI) are finally getting the arrears on their yearly increment after the High Court here ruled that they were entitled to back pay amounting to RM23mil.
Some of the workers, who had travelled from as far as interior Keningau, hugged, cried and kissed their counsel Rakbir Singh and Christina Liew after judge David Wong Dak Wah announced the court’s decision.
