KUALA LUMPUR: Several preventive measures have been introduced in the Immigration Department after former director-general of the department, Datuk Wahid Md Don, and his deputy were charged with graft.
In a written reply in Parliament Tuesday to Teresa Kok (DAP - Seputeh) who asked about the measures, Home Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar said immigration officers would be put on job rotation by being transferred to a different unit after serving a "sensitive" unit for three years.
