THE next time MPs submit their questions, they will have to remember to count every word and punctuation mark. This reminder was made after an exasperated Speaker Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia was pressured by an Opposition MP to nullify a long question in the Order Paper.

“From today onwards, all MPs must count every word, every dot and every comma in their question to ensure that their question does not exceed 40 words,” he said when calming down the MPs.
