KOTA KINABALU: The road link between Sabah’s west and east coasts was abruptly cut for the second time in less than two weeks after tonnes of earth and rocks buried a portion of the Kota Kinabalu-Ranau trunk road late Thursday.

No casualties were reported in the 7.45pm incident, which saw hundreds of travellers stranded on either side of the slip near the mountainous settlement of Bundu Tuhan, about 85km from the city.
