THE standardisation of Chinese translation has caused rapid changes in schoolbooks, affecting teachers, students, parents and booksellers, reported Nanyang Siang Pau.
The daily said those who suffered most from the amendment by the Malaysian Chinese Language Standardisation Council were parents with school-going children as they were unable to reuse old books and had to buy new ones every year.
