KOTA KINABALU: No mining will be allowed in the bio-diversity rich Maliau Basin once the state government adopts a conservation plan for the area dubbed the Lost World.
Amid concerns that coal and gold mining will be allowed, assistant Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Karim Bujang said no mining would be allowed under the Strategic Management Conservation Plan for Maliau Basin.
