KUALA LUMPUR: The upcoming Seventh Conference of Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP7) meet is expected to draw a larger crowd compared to previous meetings due to a strong interest in biodiversity issues, the convention secretariat’s executive secretary Dr Hamdallah Zedan said.
“At the recent World Summit and Sustainable Development, it was decided that biodiversity be given priority at the COP7 which resulted in countries sending large delegations for (this) week’s convention,” he said.
