IPOH: Felcra Bhd confirmed yesterday that several members of its board of directors and senior officers have been questioned in the course of investigations by the Anti-Corruption Agency (ACA) over alleged misappropriation regarding a RM72mil tender.

Its chairman, Datuk Hamzah Zainuddin, said the recent investigation by ACA was among Felcra’s own steps to eradicate elements of misappropriation and graft from among its staff.

He said, however, that he did not know the progress or results of the investigation.

ACA deputy director Datuk Mohd Zawawi Mohd Nordin had recently confirmed that the agency was investigating alleged misappropriation in Felcra regarding a tender for fertiliser and had seized documents from its Kuala Lumpur office on Dec 10.

Hamzah reiterated that it was a normal procedure as Felcra had nothing to hide. –Bernama
