KUALA LUMPUR: At least two of the 13 Malaysian students who were arrested by the Pakistani authorities for alleged links with the Jemaah Islamiah (JI) had met up with al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden in Kandahar, Afghanistan.
Regional security sources said the two, in their late teens, went to Kandahar just months before the Sept 11 attack in the United States.
