KUALA LUMPUR: After three years, efforts to get the controversial inter-religious council off the ground began with a workshop attended by about 100 participants from various religious backgrounds.
Faced with accusations of harbouring a hidden agenda and meddling with religious affairs, the workshop organised by the Bar Council was postponed twice since the idea was first mooted in October 2000 at a seminar themed Freedom of Religion.
