> Gold in Kuala Pilah cheaper than anywhere else
Gold is reportedly cheaper in Kuala Pilah than anywhere else in Malaysia. Poh, a goldsmith, admitted that the price of gold at his shop is indeed lower as he is registered with the Federation of Goldsmiths And Jewellers Associations. “Today, the price of gold here is RM133 per gram while the external market price is RM170. Indeed much cheaper,” Poh said. “Despite the lower price, the quality is as good as other places,” he said. Sundry shop worker Maisuri A Rashid said the town has long been famous for its competitive gold prices.
