WHEN 32-year-old Lud took a routine Covid-19 swab test before going to work on an offshore vessel, he didn’t expect the result to come back positive. Instead of spending months on a ship, Lud, who only wishes to be known by his first name, spent the next two weeks in hospital being treated for the disease.

“When I found out I had Covid-19, I immediately informed my close contacts. But I was also worried that if I told others, they might suddenly be afraid of me, ” he says.
