THIS has been a turbulent year for Malaysia. In just four short months, we saw a change of government, a global pandemic begin and, subsequently, economic difficulties across the board.

All this has called attention to the importance of the media in providing accurate and vital information during times of crisis and confusion, further emphasising the need for a free and impartial press.
