Over 96,000 Form Six students to receive Early School Aid

PETALING JAYA: A total of 96,013 Form Six students are receiving their RM150 Early School Aid (BAP) for the 2026 academic year.

The Education Ministry said the distribution, which runs from June 28 to July 27, includes 52,810 new students at 616 schools across the country.

The total allocation is RM14,401,950 this year, it added.

"The ministry is proceeding with the distribution of the BAP to new Form Six students who registered on June 8, in accordance with the approved extension of the BAP to Form Six students in 2025," it said in a statement on Thursday (July 9).

BAP was introduced by the government in 2012 to ease the financial burden on parents or guardians of Year One to Form Five students.
