> Ernst & Young Tax Consultants Sdn. Bhd. (EY), in collaboration with the Inland Revenue Board (LHDNM), has launched the EY YTPY competition.
> Malaysian undergraduates or postgraduates enrolled in local or foreign universities are invited to vie for the opportunity to represent Malaysia at the international competition.
> At the international final, the Malaysian representative will compete with other country representatives from around the world for the title of “EY YTPY”.
> Malaysians interested in taking part are required to submit their response to a case study by July 22. The response, to be submitted in the form of a PowerPoint presentation and a video presentation, will be assessed for individual evidence of critical thinking and analytical strengths, creativity, commercial awareness and executive presence.
> A shortlist of 15 semi-finalists will then be challenged with a case study and be invited to meet and present their findings to a panel of judges, headed by a representative from LHDNM.
> Six finalists will then be shortlisted, and the top three winners of the EY YTPY 2022 Malaysia competition will be announced thereafter.
> The EY YTPY programme aims to nurture and build the knowledge, skills and capabilities of young talent to become potential tax professionals and leaders.
> Participants will be tested on various areas as they draw upon their commercial awareness and analytical thinking to help companies successfully navigate their complex business challenges.
> The prizes for the EY YTPY Malaysia competition include prize money of up to RM8,000 and internship opportunities or conditional offers of employment with EY member firms in Malaysia.
