Malaysia free of Streptococcus infections linked to pigs, says DVS


PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia remains free of Streptococcus suis bacterial infections linked to pigs, says the Veterinary Services Department (DVS).

It had noted concerns following a report in Thai media about recent human deaths caused by infections originating from pigs in Thailand, the department said in a statement on Tuesday (May 13).
