BUSINESS leaders should make full use of the Trade & Invest-ment Facilitation Centre (TIFC) newly set up at Wisma Chinese Chamber in Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur.
Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM) president Datuk Ng Yih Pyng said TIFC was established to support trade and investment, and help enterprises navigate new markets, build meaningful business relationships and identify opportunities for sustainable growth.
“TIFC has the potential to help businesses expand their reach and strengthen their presence in international markets and at the same time facilitate foreign businessmen to explore opportunities in Malaysia,” he said.
Ng was speaking after the launch of TIFC by Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani during ACCCIM’s 80th annual general meeting at Setia City Convention Centre in Shah Alam, Selangor.
The centre, Ng said, facilitated stronger connections between local enterprises and global markets.
“TIFC’s role extends beyond traditional business matching, as it provides companies with access to relevant industry contacts, market insights and opportunities to explore potential partnerships and investments.”
Ng said for foreign businesses planning to expand in Malaysia, the centre could serve as a platform to engage with potential partners, explore new commercial opportunities and strengthen their visibility.
“By connecting businesses with the networks, resources and opportunities they need, TIFC will build a stronger presence in an increasingly interconnected global marketplace.”
Earlier in his speech, Ng called for Budget 2027 to focus on easing operational costs, refining tax frameworks and boosting small and medium enterprises’ competitiveness.
“Budget 2027 must be designed to sustain domestic demand while maintaining private investment momentum,” he said.
