EIGHTY participants, including NCT Group of Companies employees and their families, planted 320 mangrove saplings at Kuala Selangor Nature Park to mark Earth Day.

Conducted in collaboration with the Malaysian Nature Society, the initiative focused on rehabilitating degraded coastal ecosystems while promoting environmental awareness and community engagement.

Beyond its environmental impact, the initiative also emphasised social value by fostering stronger relationships, encouraging intergenerational learning, and cultivating a shared sense of responsibility towards nature.

The activity included an educational session followed by a guided planting exercise highlighting the critical role of mangroves in coastal protection, biodiversity conservation, and carbon sequestration.
