A musical show will be the highlight of the Miss Chinese World 2026 Grand Finals at Berjaya Times Square Hotel Kuala Lumpur.

Miss Chinese World 2026 founder Tan Sri Danny Ooi said the event would see 18 contestants from around the world competing for the title.

“The pageant’s focus will be on Chinese culture, values and traditions,” he said at a press conference at Berjaya Times Square.

He added that the competition platform would also highlight appreciation of each other’s cultures.

“We want to preserve Chinese culture and expose these contestants to traditions such as mooncakes.

“Miss Chinese World is more than a beauty pageant.

“It is a platform that connects cultures, empowers women and celebrates heritage in a meaningful way.”

Ooi said he was proud to welcome delegates to Malaysia and looked forward to showcasing the warmth, diversity and beauty of Malaysia to an international audience.

“The musical show will also be based on cultural elements.

“The audience will be able to witness the richness of Chinese traditions, which date back thousands of years,” he said.

Miss Chinese World 2026 returns after a three‑year hiatus, with contestants from Malaysia, Indonesia, China, the Philippines, Myanmar, Thailand and Japan.

Now in its sixth edition, the pageant also promotes peace, goodwill, friendship and tourism among participants, said Ooi.

He added that contestants were involved in 14 days of fun‑filled activities, including meaningful engagements and pageant‑related events leading up to the grand finals on May 30.

The theme for the gala dinner, “Four Seasons of Tradition,” is set to deliver an unforgettable evening of glamour, elegance and cultural storytelling.

Other than the main title, five subsidiary titles will be presented.

The grand prize winner will take home RM10,000 in cash, first runner‑up RM3,000 and second runner‑up RM2,000.

All top three winners will also receive a sash, crown and trophy.
