His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, graced a QSR Brands Holdings Bhd event in Kuala Lumpur on Monday.

According to a post on Sultan Ibrahim’s Facebook page, His Majesty was greeted by QSR Brands chief executive officer and managing director Nehchal Khanna and the fast-food chain company’s top management.

Bernama reported that during the event, Sultan Ibrahim witnessed the presentation of a pledge placard for RM1mil from Nehchal to representatives of beneficiary educational institutions.

They included SK Tasek Utara in Johor Baru (Sekolah Rintis Bangsa Johor) and Baitul Sakinah Care Centre in Selangor.

Nehchal, in his speech, said the initiative was inspired by how His Majesty always prioritised giving back to the community and supporting the country’s development, even during challenging times.

“This initiative focuses on education and welfare by providing students with a stronger foundation and meaningful opportunities to improve their lives.”

Also present were Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil, QSR Brands chairman Tan Sri Jamaludin Ibrahim, Baitul Sakinah As-Shariff adviser and patron ACP (Ret) Mohd Fadzil Ali and SK Tasek Utara headmaster Uzaini Abdul Razak.
