Utility firm’s film also emphasises importance of mental health

KAYLA, an aspiring content creator, and her grandmother, Wan, share a special bond.

After getting hate from netizens over a Ramadan cooking video, which made Kayla feel down, Wan helped to rebuild her confidence by embracing authenticity and imperfection.

Wan found an opportunity by chance for them to do a live cooking video together and things started looking up for Kayla as netizens were captivated by their love.

Air Selangor’s ‘Raya Ikut Rasa’ advert this year spotlighted cyberbullying, mental health, the love of family, self-acceptance and finding strength to bounce back.

The video features actresses Normalis Nordin as Kayla, Khatijah Tan as Wan, Louisa Chong as Mei and Sukania Venugopal as Rani.

Air Selangor corporate communications head Elina Baseri said, “Through ‘Raya Ikut Rasa’, we hope to convey that festive celebrations do not have to be perfect.

“What matters most is sincerity and understanding.

“This video is also part of Air Selangor’s 2026 festive campaign series themed ‘Love Flows Like Water’.

“The theme illustrates how love and family support, like water, continues to flow and can help those dealing with life’s many challenges,” said Elina.

The advert also reminded the public how cyberbullying could affect self-confidence.

The video can be viewed at hydrohub.airselangor.com and Air Selangor’s official social media platforms.

Air Selangor is Malaysia’s largest water services provider and supplies treated water to 9.62 million consumers in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.

It is also the first water services provider in the country to be inducted into the Leading Utilities of the World (LUOW) global network.
