VOLUNTEERS in mental health support for the community gathered at a Chinese New Year appreciation event.

Held at Life Line Association Malaysia’s Counselling Education and Training Centre (CETC) in Puchong, Selangor, it was attended by its partners and chairman Choon Lee Meng.

During the event, Malaysian actress and Life Line’s ambassador Yeo Yann Yann shared her CNY wishes in a special video.

She acknowledged the volunteers who worked in morning and night shifts to ensure that those facing emotional distress have support.

Life Line recently extended its counselling service hours to 19 hours.

It is progressively working towards its goal of a 24-hour helpline.

At the same time, Life Line is encouraging the public to support the helpline through small recurring donations, which are tax-deductible.

Those requiring emotional support may contact Life Line’s counselling helpline at 15995.

It is available from Monday to Saturday, 6.30am to 1.30am.

Life Line’s free counselling helpline is available in Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin.
