Perpaduan Charity Hike 2026 now open for registration

THE fourth edition of the annual Perpaduan Charity Hike 2026 (PCH26) is now open for registration.

Organised by Penang International Hikers (PIH), the charity hike scheduled for June 21 has grown steadily since its inception, drawing increasing participation from schools and corporate bodies.

As in previous years, organisers will assist primary and secondary school students in applying for Physical, Sports and Co-curricular Assessment (PAJSK) scores.

PIH chairman “Jungle” Sim Thean Sang said the non-profit event would channel all net proceeds — after operational expenses — to selected charitable organisations.

“The hike brings together students, working adults, families and corporate teams to promote an active lifestyle, strengthen community bonds and foster social responsibility,” he said at the launching ceremony officiated by Penang Sports Council director Harry Chai Heng Hua.

Also present were Penang Sports Council CSR Unit head R. Ravichandran; PIH vice-chairman Billy Ng and secretary Christine Cheah; as well as representatives of co-organisers Meronot Nature secretary Hamzah “Mamu” Shariff and assistant secretary Farid “Nana” Anuar.

This year’s edition is sponsored by Dufu Technology Corp Bhd.

Co-organisers include the Bukit Bendera parliamentary constituency, the Penang Sports Council, Meronot Nature, and the Kadaram Adventure Club Malaysia.

Registration is available via the official portal at https://howei.com/event_details/perpaduancharityhike2026 PIH is a community-driven group dedicated to organising hiking activities that promote health, environmental awareness and charitable causes. The Perpaduan Charity Hike has been held annually since 2023.
