MSU College Group marked its 29th convocation ceremony with 509 students receiving their scrolls.
The 267 diploma and 242 certificate graduates from 16 academic programmes were feted at the ceremony held at Chancellor Hall, Management and Science University (MSU) campus in Shah Alam, Selangor.
Present were MSU and MSU College Group president and founder Prof Tan Sri Dr Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid and vice-chancellor Prof Puan Sri Dr Junainah Abd Hamid, alongside senior management from MSU and the collges.
In his address, Prof Mohd Shukri told the students, “May this milestone inspire you to strive for excellence and build a brighter future.
“Remember to be grateful for your achievements and appreciate the support of your loved ones, especially your parents.
“Continue to learn, grow, and adapt to new challenges, embracing lifelong learning as a path to success and personal growth.”
Three categories of excellence awards were presented to six graduates in recognition of their overall achievements.
Dayang Izati Mohd Izan, who graduated with a Diploma in Management from MSU College Sabah, received the Mohd Shukri Yajid Award.
Four graduates received the Academic Award: Tengku Noratiqaf Ab Raseb (Diploma in Management, MSU College Terengganu), Muhammad Shahrul A. Halim (Diploma in Information Technology, MSU College Terengganu), Nursalsabila Syafiah Rusmiat Sufian (Diploma in Culinary Arts, MSU College Shah Alam), and Ahmad Irfan Farhan Ahmad Fadhlan (Certificate in Digital Photography, MSU College Shah Alam).
The Industry Award went to Muhammad Afif Zulkifli, who graduated with a Diploma in Graphic Design from MSU College Seremban.
According to its media release, MSU College Group provides comprehensive educational access, nurturing graduates with an emphasis on technical and vocational education and training (TVET).
Collaborations between MSU and over 3,000 industry partners, particularly through the University Industry Advisory Panel, contributed to academic and TVET programmes relevant to current needs, the college group said.
It added that through five TVET clusters – hospitality and tourism; medical and health sciences; artificial intelligence, cyber security and games; business and management; and education and social sciences – MSU offers various high-impact programmes in specialised fields such as cardiovascular technology, engineering, nursing and aircraft maintenance.
MSU College Group has 10 campuses and one learning centre around the country.
The five and six-star ratings received by MSU College Group under Higher Education Ministry’s Malaysian Private College Quality and Equivalency Assessment System were testament to achievements in delivering educational services that meet established criteria and standards, the college group said.
