A rebranding unveils a Penang-based developer’s new identity, redefining real estate through ecological harmony and purposeful living.
Asia Green’s transformation is anchored in the “3+X” principle, encompassing technology, art and culture as well as ecology, with X representing the wellness community it hopes to nurture.
The company is on a mission to lead the way in next-generation smart ecological civilisation development, creating future-ready townships that seamlessly integrate technology, sustainability, culture and wellness.
Asia Green chief executive officer Tan Li Mei said the shift was more than cosmetic.
She described it as a commitment to create living ecosystems where people, nature and innovation thrived together.
“If we are not in a good state of health, everything else we do is rendered meaningless.
“I have experienced that personally and I’m hopeful to bring forward Asia Green to create a community where people can heal, evolve and be better,” she said during the rebrand launch at the company’s sales gallery in Bayan Lepas.
Li Mei emphasised that wellness would be a cornerstone of Asia Green’s future developments, covering not only physical health but also emotional and mental well-being.
“What we want to focus on is the mind, body and soul, to reconnect us to nature.
“At the same time, we need to embrace technology, which helps save us time, allowing us to focus inwardly and take better care of ourselves,” she said.
Preserving and enhancing cultural identity would remain a hallmark of Asia Green’s projects, with art and culture being central to the company’s philosophy, said Li Mei.
“Rebranding is not just about a logo, a colour change or a visual.
“It is our mission, our vision and what we want to do for Penang and beyond,” she said.
“We hope to start from Penang, where we are rooted in, and eventually bring our ideas internationally with the support of our partners and community.”
Penang housing and environment committee chairman Datuk Seri S. Sundarajoo praised the developer’s rebranding as a step towards growth, as sustainability was now a necessity in the property sector.
“This is about reaffirming values of sustainability, innovation and responsibility towards the community,” he said.
“Asia Green’s rebranding sends a clear message that development must go hand in hand with sustainability.
“It means adopting green building standards, integrating renewable energy such as solar and designing with natural ventilation and lighting to minimise impact.
“Most importantly, it means thinking long-term, building neighbourhoods with transport connectivity and shared spaces that foster community living,” he added.
Present at the event were Penang Deputy Chief Minister II Jagdeep Singh Deo, local government, town and country planning committee chairman Jason H’ng Mooi Lye, Pantai Jerejak assemblyman Fahmi Zainol, Batu Uban assemblyman A. Kumaresan and Asia Green board of directors member Tan Kin Nai.
The ceremony also saw a partnership agreement signed between Asia Green and global creative change and consulting firm Consulus, formalised by Li Mei and Consulus chief executive officer Lawrence Chong. — By LO TERN CHERN
