THE aroma of Malaysian comfort food, nasi lemak bungkus and mee hoon goreng accompanied by teh tarik, wafted through Menara Star lobby in Petaling Jaya, Selangor as Star Media Group Bhd (SMG) staff took part in a Malaysia Day celebration.

Sponsored by Fraser & Neave Holdings Bhd (F&N), it was also held in appreciation of the media’s support and contributions, and the “Rasa Malaysia: Cita Rasa Kita” campaign ending Sept 30.

To add to the festive mood, F&N gave away packets of Golden Ring Nasi Lemak Sambal Udang Flavoured Crackers, a new snack innovation by Sri Nona.

The crowd also got a taste of the new range of F&N NutriWell plant-based beverages Oat Milk, Almond Milk, Oats & Quinoa Soy Milk and Purple Rice Soy Milk.

The food and beverage company said the event reflected its commitment to supporting local businesses that make a positive impact.

Besides this, there was a gashapon (a vending machine for capsule toy) and social media contest to win limited-edition F&N plushies and products.

“By engaging our media partners through activities like this, we not only celebrate the nation’s diversity, but also show our appreciation for their continued support in telling the F&N story,” said the company’s communications, corporate affairs and sustainability director Karen Tan.

“Through the ‘Rasa Malaysia’ campaign, we celebrate the flavours Malaysians have grown up with, tastes that remind us of home wherever we may be.”
