KAJANG residents can expect changes in rubbish collection as KDEB Waste Management (KDEBWM) begins a new service term.
The company said in a media statement that its second seven-year contract with Kajang Municipal Council started on Sept 1.
“Accordingly, KDEBWM is notifying residents that there will be changes in the collection schedule and the possibility of minor service disruptions during the initial transition period.
“This is due to the realignment of collection zones and changes in appointed contractors, which require time for operational familiarisation and adjustment,” it said.
The company said it was taking proactive steps to ensure a smooth transition and to minimise disruptions.
“Residents are advised to refer to KDEBWM’s official channels for the latest updates, including revised collection schedules that will be published in due course,” it said.
For inquiries or feedback, residents can call KDEBWM’s hotline (1800-88-2824), or via the iClean Selangor mobile app or its official website.
KDEBWM first took over rubbish collection and public cleaning services in Kajang in 2018 under a seven-year pilot project.
