WITH drums pounding, feet stomping and bagpipes soaring, Irish stout Guinness brought the spirit of Ireland across bars and pubs nationwide.
In honour of Ireland’s patron saint, the brewery company celebrated with stout fans who raised pints of Guinness.
The company’s Irish-themed party at The Square, Jaya One in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, also hosted a grand parade led by a 30-piece ensemble of drummers, bagpipers and Irish step dancers.
Fans experienced the true magic of St Patrick’s at other participating outlets.
With every sip and every slainte (Irish for “cheers”), fans had a taste of Irish culture.
Thus was Irish charm spread across 40 pubs and bars.
“Guinness has been the true companion of choice for St Patrick’s Day for decades,” said Heineken Malaysia Bhd wheatbeer, stout and Diageo brands marketing manager Shaun Lim.
“It is more than just an Irish stout; it symbolises celebration, tradition and togetherness.
“There’s no better way to toast this occasion than with a perfectly poured pint of Guinness in hand,” he said.
During the celebration at Jaya One, fans donned St Patrick’s-themed wearables and took snapshots at the photo booths.
They also got their hands on customisable Guinness Stouties.
