Kool Grill’s Nasi Lemak BBQ Chicken Pizza at Genting Skyworlds.
Curated open flame meals can now be enjoyed 6,000ft (1,829m) above sea level at Kool Grill, a newly opened barbecue-meets-local concept restaurant at Genting Skyworlds.
Located at the entrance of the outdoor theme park, Kool Grill exudes a trendy, cosy and relaxing vibe with white interiors and furnishings.
Ensconced in a corner of the bustling theme park walkway amid several attractions, the outlet’s vibrant dining space is perfect for small groups and families.
As the name suggests, many menu items at Kool Grill are barbecue or grill-based.
Spearheaded by executive chef Muhamad Muhader Wahi Anour or Aidil, who is custodian of Resorts World Genting’s heritage flavours, Kool Grill offers eight casual dining confluence of east and west fusion items to satisfy park-goers’ appetite for bites.
Aidil has deconstructed traditional flavours to focus on taste profiles that he then pairs with western counterparts to present a modern east-west combination.
Indulge in flavour-bomb menu creations like the signature Nasi Lemak BBQ Chicken Pizza that features succulent shrimp in spicy chilli paste and savoury barbecue chicken sausage on a bed of fragrant coconut rice topped with fresh cucumber slices, crunchy peanuts and anchovies; BBQ Satay Sausage Chicken, which is essentially juicy chicken sausage grilled to perfection with a smoky barbecue glaze, served alongside a rich and creamy peanut sauce and Smoky Cayenne Pulled Beef on Black Brioche that features savoury and tender pulled beef infused with smoky barbecue and a hint of cayenne pepper sandwiched in a warm charcoal bun.
Other classics include Wok-fried Honey BBQ Chicken Drumettes, Kung Pao Flavour Bombs that are deep-fried seafood dumplings served with spicy kung pao sauce as well as Tandoori Magic with Flat Bread that features smoked tandoori chicken marinated in a rich blend of spices, grilled to perfection and served alongside a refreshing cucumber salad, seasonal mixed vegetables and flatbread.
There’s also Korean Ssamjang Beef BBQ pie that spotlights tender beef in rich Ssamjang sauce, complemented by sweet green peas, hearty potatoes and aromatic onions in a savoury pie topped with melted cheese and served with crispy chips, and Satay BBQ Chicken Pizza, which is essentially tender chicken marinated in rich satay spices, drizzled with creamy peanut sauce and topped with cucumber slices, anchovies and cheese – all presented on pinewood slabs.
Guests can also purchase a value set comprising one main dish with a hot or cold drink (mocktails excluded).
