Foundation helps centre meet dialysis needs

Eco World Foundation has donated a haemodialysis machine worth RM52,000 to St John Ambulance Malaysia-Kawasan Pantai Selangor Foundation.

The machine will be used at the latter’s dialysis centre in Rawang, Selangor.

The handover ceremony was attended by Eco World Foundation chairman Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye and SJAM-KPS (Kawasan Pantai Selangor) Foundation chief operating officer Datuk Yeo Kim Thong.

“This donation comes at a critical time due to pressing demand and urgent need to replace ageing equipment,” said Lee.

“Ensuring patients receive uninterrupted, high-quality care is our priority.”

The centre currently operates with just seven haemodialysis machines, each capable of supporting only three patients.

With 20 patients relying on the centre for life-saving treatment, the shortage of functioning equipment has posed a significant challenge.

Lee also encouraged more organisations and individuals to join hands in supporting such causes, saying, “Together, we can make a real difference in the lives of those who need it most.”
