Osechi is a special festive feast served on New Year’s Day, an important day for Japanese people.

The centuries-old tradition celebrates renewal and good fortune, with each ingredient carrying special significance.

The golden chestnuts with sweet potato paste represent financial prosperity, while black beans signify health and strength.

Simmered root vegetables, deeply grounded in the soil represent enduring happiness.

Herring roe, abundant with eggs, symbolises fertility and family prosperity while red and white fish cakes mark celebrations.

Sweet rolled omelette, resembling ancient scrolls, conveys wishes for academic success while candied sardines reflect hopes for a bountiful harvest.

Completing the bento box is a hearty bowl of Hokkaido’s teppo miso soup, offering warmth and comfort, alongside a luxurious rice bowl crowned with premium salmon, salmon roe, tender scallop and fresh sea urchin.

This menu is priced at RM280 per person.
