Lampu 2024 returns to Putrajaya with dazzling light show

AFTER a four-year hiatus, the Light and Motion Putrajaya Festival (Lampu) 2024 is back for its eighth edition at Dataran Putrajaya in Precinct 3.

Putrajaya Corporation expects about one million visitors at the projection mapping show, which will conclude on Dec 31 with a countdown to the new year.

The festival uses state-of-the-art technology to bring the facade of the Palace of Justice building to life with colours, lights, imagery, and sounds.

Putrajaya Corporation president Datuk Fadlun Mak Ujud said two Italian designers, Michele Pusceddu and Antaless Visual Design, have contributed to the visual display alongside local talents.

"There will also be a float parade and a Gaming Fest, a paid event for gaming enthusiasts, held alongside the main event at the venue.

"Visitors can also look forward to illuminated buildings, colourfully lit trees, live music, stalls, food trucks, a hologram exhibition, wayang kulit show, LED-lit trishaw, street art, radio-controlled showcase, zumba, and more.

"This year, there is a nominal entrance fee because of our special offerings.

"Over 5,000 parking spaces will be available in the vicinity," he said.

Tickets for Lampu 2024 are priced at RM5 for adults and RM2 for children between seven and 12 years old.

Tickets for the Gaming Fest are RM5 for adults and free for children.

Tickets can be purchased online at lampu.putrajaya.my/tickets/event-details/festival-light-and-motion-putrajaya-2024 or at the venue.
