MEMBERS of government agencies such as the Fire and Rescue Department and Civil Defence Force play a crucial role in recovery operations in the aftermath of nature’s fury.

After severe weather events, they can be seen clearing fallen branches from massive trees and ensuring that access routes can be reopened safely and quickly.
