Havoc in city centre after Thursday evening downpour

LANDSLIPS and fallen trees have been reported across Klang Valley following the heavy rain on Thursday (Aug 22) evening

In Jalan Genting Klang in Setapak, a landslip caused trees to fall onto the road and blocked access in one lane,

This caused a traffic bottleneck leading to massive congestion in the other two lanes.

A sign was also seen to have fallen onto the road, according to photos circulating on social media platforms.

There have also been reports of flash floods in certain areas, causing traffic to slow to a crawl in several areas.

The Segambut bypass, Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah, Jalan Dutamas, Jalan Kepong and Jalan Kuching are among those hit.
