SUBANG Jaya City Council (MBSJ) is addressing tree-related complaints at Bandar Kinrara, in Puchong, Selangor.

MBSJ Landscape Department director Azlina Mat Salim said 26 trees along Jalan BK5a/2 were currently being pruned.

The project was expected to be completed by the end of the week, she added.

The pruning works follow a site visit by Subang Jaya deputy mayor Mohd Zulkurnain Che Ali, Zone 18 councillor Mehanatan Embamurthi and personnel from the department on July 25.

The team had faced delays due to weather conditions and complaints of noise from a nearby hospital.

Mehanatan added that in addition to tree maintenance, KDEB Waste Management would clean drains in the area.

On illegal parking in the BK5 commercial zone, he said offenders would be compounded and abandoned vehicles would be towed away after a seven-day notice.

Mehanatan encouraged residents to make reports through the Public Complaints Management System (Sispaa), promising a response within seven days.

MBSJ’s action comes after a StarMetro report on July 24 highlighted residents’ concerns about overgrown trees obstructing parking spaces in Bandar Kinrara 5.
