Help for B40, armed forces communities

MAXIS distributed food boxes for families in Lembah Pantai, Kuala Lumpur and Tanjong Tokong, Penang in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri and the month of Syawal.

This was part of the integrated telco’s annual festive charity outreach and corporate social responsibility activities.

“At Maxis, we are committed to making a meaningful difference in the communities we serve.

“We are thankful to be able to extend a helping hand to families that require support,” said Maxis chief corporate affairs officer Mariam Bevi Batcha.

Maxis contributed 200 food boxes to underprivileged households in Lembah Pantai and Tanjong Tokong.

In Kuala Lumpur, Mariam presented the food boxes in the presence of Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil, who is also Lembah Pantai MP.

In Penang, Maxis head of region (northern) Leonard Chin Ying Choi handed over food boxes to the Tanjong Tokong community in the presence of state infrastructure and transport committee chairman Zairil Khir Johari during “Program Iftar Jamae Masjid Tuan Guru”.

Additionally, Maxis contributed 1,000 kuih raya packs in a show of appreciation for Malaysian armed forces personnel.

Mariam handed over the contribution to Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin at the ministry in Kuala Lumpur.
