Budget stores give discounts to ease back-to-school costs

School items at Mr DIY are being sold at up to 30 per cent lower than the store's normal prices.

FAMILIES preparing for the coming 2024/2025 school term beginning March 15 have surely been feeling the pinch of inflation.

As such, homegrown retailer MR DIY Group (M) Bhd is keeping its prices of school items low.

The retailer’s “Back to School” initiative, that is on until March 15, offers various school essentials at prices that are discounted by up to 30%.

As a father himself, MR DIY Group marketing head Alex Goh understands how every parent wants the best school start for their children.

“MR DIY’s ‘Back to School’ initiative aims to offer quality supplies that are easy on the wallet.

“We want parents to confidently send off their children to their first day at school, knowing that we have helped to equip their children with everything they need,” he said.

The school items on offer include bags, shoes, stationery and water bottles.

In addition to these items, the group’s MR DOLLAR stores are also offering affordable snacks.
