Motorists using the Bandar Sri Damansara interchange towards Sungai Buloh on the Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2) in Selangor should have a smoother drive on the congested stretch.

Bukit Lanjan assemblyman Pua Pei Ling said she was informed by the Public Works Department (JKR) that constant patching of the expansion joints had caused the road surface on the flyover to become bumpy, which contributed to the congestion.

“JKR has temporarily patched up the road.”

Pua said she requested for an allocation to repair the three expansion joints from Works Ministry as a long-term solution.

“JKR will begin repair works once funds are approved.

“There are plans to widen the road or build an alternative road,” she said. — By AMANDA LEE
