THE relocation of a telecommunications tower in Jalan Langgak Tunku, Bukit Tunku in Kuala Lumpur, will be reviewed following residents’ objections.

Resident Mohanthas Narayanasamy said this was decided during a Jan 3 meeting between residents and Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL).

He said three residents voiced concerns over the proximity of the tower to their homes.

“The residents are very happy that DBKL listened to them and asked the telecommunications operator to look at a new site suggested by us, which is further down the road,” he said.

The tower was supposed to be located beside a bus stop along Jalan Langgak Tunku, less than 100m from Tijani 2 South, a residential area with 54 houses.
