IT WAS a night filled with glitz and glam for Penang’s cops who hosted the Police Appreciation Night 2022.
The Oscar-inspired event themed “Glamour Night” was attended by hundreds of police officers and guests at G Hotel in Penang.
Popular artistes like Ezlynn, Fredo and Datuk Hattan serenaded guests with their hits during the three-hour event.
At one point, the guests and policemen even sang along with Datuk Hattan as he belted out his popular number Rendang Tak Berbuah.
Penang police chief Comm Datuk Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain said the event had gathered most of the rank-and-file policemen and high-ranking officers.
“Tonight is special as it is also the night when we recognise those who had excelled last year and to celebrate the sacrifice they had made throughout 2022,” he said.
Twenty-two awards were presented to police officers who carried out their duties well last year.
