Additional RM100 salary increment for 8,000 civil servants in state

Wan Rosdy hopes the additional increment will spur Pahang civil servants to further improve their quality of service.

Pahang government has agreed to give a special annual salary increment (KGT) of RM100 to state civil servants this year.

Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail said the special increment was in line with Service Circular No.2 of 2022 in which the Federal Government approved the grant to federal civil service officers in the executive group as well as management and professional group.

“Taking into account the important role of state civil servants who serve the people of Pahang, the state government has agreed to adopt this service circular.

“The granting of this special KGT will not affect the annual salary increment of officers for 2023 and the following years and will not change their salary movement date,” he said in a statement.

Wan Rosdy said the grant would involve an annual financial allocation of RM9.6mil for approximately 8,000 employees under the Pahang government.

“I hope that with the granting of this special KGT, Pahang civil servants can further improve their quality of service for the well-being and prosperity of the state,” he said.
