Pahang Sultan, Tengku Ampuan extend Wesak Day greetings


KUANTAN: The Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and the Tengku Ampuan of Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, have extended Wesak Day greetings to all Buddhists observing the celebration.

In a post on the Kesultanan Pahang’s Facebook page, Their Royal Highnesses expressed hope that the celebration would help foster love, harmony, tolerance and mutual respect among Pahang’s multi-ethnic and multi-religious communities, as well as across the country.

"Their Royal Highnesses also expressed hope that Wesak Day celebrations would help strengthen unity, understanding and a spirit of togetherness among the people, in line with the principle of mutual respect that forms the foundation of the country’s stability and prosperity,” read the post.

The Sultan of Pahang and the Tengku Ampuan of Pahang also prayed that all Malaysians, particularly those in Pahang, would continue to enjoy peace, security and a harmonious life in a united, multi-ethnic society. – Bernama
