Show of appreciation for Chinese community this weekend

PROPERTY developers KotaSAS Sdn Bhd and Wawasan Intact Properties are planning a Chap Goh Meh celebration in collaboration with the Pahang Federation of Chinese Associations.

Themed “Prosperity to You”, the event at Tasek Commercial Centre in Kuantan is on Feb 4 and 5.

KotaSAS director and Kumpulan Tanah Makmur Bhd chief executive officer Datuk Shahrul Nizam Abdul Aziz said the aim of the event was to show appreciation for the Chinese community living in KotaSas’ housing projects.

Wawasan Intact Properties (Pahang) Sdn Bhd director Datuk Ng Choon Koon said there had been a 30% increase in buyers from the Chinese community in 2022.

The Chap Goh Meh event will feature traditional dances, 24-drum performance, LED diabolo performance, wushu demonstra-tion and stilt lion dance, among others.

Paper-cutting, lantern and ang pow crafting sessions as well as a calligraphy competition and singing contest for children will also be part of the event.

The opening ceremony will be at 7pm on Saturday.

On the development of KotaSAS, Shahrul Nizam said the company was planning to launch 1,000 single-storey, duplex and 1.5-storey homes this year.

As for commercial property, he said 90 shoplots would also be launched.
