KAPAR Barisan Nasional has launched its election machinery for the 15th General Election (GE15).

Selangor Barisan chairman Tan Sri Noh Omar called on component parties such as Umno, MCA, MIC and friends of Barisan Nasional to go all out while campaigning to secure a win.

Noh, who is also the Selangor Umno liaison chairman, said Barisan aimed to wrest back several parliamentary seats in Selangor and it was possible through a united front.

“Whatever differences must be kept aside as a win for Barisan is important,” he said during the launch at Grand Gerbang Hall, Meru, in Klang, Selangor.

Members of Malaysian Indian Progressive Front (IPF) and Malaysian Indian Muslim Congress (Kimma) were friends of Barisan who attended the event.

“Our assessments, consultations and negotiations show that Selangor Barisan can win seats.

“If we can win at the parliamentary level, then we can fight for state seats that we lost,” he said.

Noh said Selangor Barisan was not only ready for GE15, but was also confident and focused on winning.

Also present at the launch were Kapar Umno division chairman Datuk Mohd Roslee Abd Hamid, Kapar MCA division chairman Datuk Song Kee Chai, Kapar MIC division chairman Kalaiyarasan Vathumalai and Kapar Parliament MIC coordinator Datuk P. Kamalanathan.
