MORE than 10,000 job opportunities will be up for grabs at the Mega JobCare Selangor 2026 with MYFutureJobs this weekend.
The two-day job fair, taking place on Aug 8 and 9 at the Shah Alam Convention Centre (SACC), will bring together over 100 employers from various industries and is expected to attract between 10,000 and 15,000 visitors.
Selangor human resources, poverty eradication and Orang Asli affairs committee chairman V. Papparaidu said besides job matching and open interviews, the event would feature same-day hiring sessions, resume clinics and career counselling.
"Mega JobCare Selangor 2026 provides wider access to employment opportunities and serves as a comprehensive career development platform for jobseekers," he said at a press conference held at Bangunan Annex, Bangunan Dewan Negeri Selangor in Shah Alam on Wednesday (Aug 5).
Papparaidu also said the state-level Festival Kebudayaan Orang Asli 2026 is taking place at Taman Tasik Millenium in Kuala Kubu Baru on Aug 9.
He said the festival, which first started last year, would become a yearly affair.
Held in conjunction with the International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples, the one-day festival is expected to draw about 5,000 visitors and will feature cultural performances, handicraft exhibitions, traditional cooking demonstrations, traditional games, blowpipe competitions, health screenings and family-friendly activities.
